My Approach

As humans, we encounter difficult experiences from time to time. Resilience, therefore, is our ability to go through these situations and come out stronger. It is not about avoiding or eliminating sources of stress or pretending that we are okay when we are not. Instead, it is about equipping ourselves with the capacity to face challenging circumstances that occur in life and staying connected to our sense of perspective and support system.

Studies have shown that certain qualities greatly influence our ability to be resilient. These qualities are known "as "protective facts " for our mental health. They include

  • feeling connected to and having supportive relationships with others

  • savoring pleasant experiences and emotions

  • paying attention to the present moment non-judgmentally

  • having a sense of meaning and purpose beyond ourselves

  • experiencing a sense of accomplishment, mastery, and engagement in our activities.

My approach is to help individuals and communities develop these qualities through routine, habits, and discipline. A sense of accomplishment, mastery, and engagement in our activities
